I would do 4.5 stars because 5 is my absolute favorites ever. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Can you engulf a book? Because I think that is what I did, I could not put it down. I loved the new ideas. There were a couple times I kind of wanted to slap the main character Lexi but overall I really liked her. I liked all of the characters names, I liked how it wasn't something that I had read before. I got it for free, however I would have gladly paid for it. I just really really liked this and I can't wait to pick up the next book. I had a soft spot for this book because the main character is Lexi and there is a secondary character of Brtitney which is my sisters name. I also love the name of the cat, Nikodemus, Lexi's 'fuzzy little friend'

So this book was quick to catch my attention. From page one, it seemed, I was already pulled into Lexi and Dez's world. It's a well written book that kept me turning pages under my bed sheets during the late hours. The min character, Lexi, is a perfectly balanced character deals with typical high school life, loss, love, mystery, and adveture. Can't wait for book two!
This was a cute read. I love the idea of soulmates. This is my favorite kind of book. I don't really like Tobias and am not looking forward to seeing more of him. But loved Dez and Jayson.
This is an enjoyable book. It is another reincarnation one, but with a twist. This is not a fast paced book, but it is an easy read. The characters are what make the book and before you realise it you are completely drawn into their lives and want to know what will happen next. I will be reading the next one.

I really enjoyed this novel.

It had a new twist on what it means to be someone's soulmate and how everyone is interconnected through past lives. I found the book informing and a very enjoyable read. It was not something fluffy and light. This book had depth, which is something that I enjoy when I am looking to be reflecive and thoughtful.

Fluffy stuff are my escape from reality, but hardcore books are my acceptance of life and all of its hardships
With an interesting premise and characters that kept my attention, Amber Eyes came to be a satisfying read. Lexi's emotions came through so intense that I often times felt some of the things describing her feelings. I was curious about Dez, and how the two acted with one another kept me going. Amber Eyes is a book full of twists and turns that I never even imagined. I'd love to see what more the author has to offer. This book is a YA paranormal romance written in the first person point of view, but I never felt like I was missing anything and enjoyed it very much.
The author is very detailed, however this book was a bit too long-winded and the pace was too slow for my liking. That said, I really enjoyed the premise soul mates and eternal souls.

Lexi and her friends pretty much act like regular teenagers, however they are fairly responsible (holding down jobs and attending school) and have a huge amount of autonomy. The range of emotions Lexi goes through is quite relatable (depression, loneliness, etc), and I felt her relationship with her friends was realistic.

Overall I just though this book moved way, way too slow. I realize that the author may be trying to show readers how agonizing and confusing this all was for Lexi but after awhile it was frustrating.
If you are a believer of soul mates then you will love this story. It was a really good YA Read. The characters were true to their age and the story flowed nicely. There was a point where Lexi's character kind of stalled when she was going though her depression of being left. I also would have liked to know more about Tobias and his motives but I think that was left to be told in the next book. Other than that it was great. Its a great concept of life after death and keeping certain souls with you. I would recommend this to older young adults only because there are some steamy scenes in the book but nothing to far. I look forward to the next book.
